PORTLAND, ORE. (AP) —The Portland Timbers have traded brazen Kenny Cooper to a New York Red Bulls for a first-round collect in a 2013 breeze and allocation money.
The trade was announced Thursday during Major League Soccer’s SuperDraft.
Cooper had 8 goals and dual assists in 34 matches for a Timbers final season, though he was inconsistent.
The 27-year-old scored Portland’s initial MLS goal, though wound adult entrance off a dais for a fibre of games in July. He had 4 goals in a team’s final 7 games.
Cooper came to a Timbers after a army in Europe that was injured by injuries. He was an All-Star with FC Dallas, and has 48 goals in 124 career regular-season MLS games.
