JOHANNESBURG (AP)—Sport’s top justice has inspected a preference to allow
Burkina Faso to contest in a African Cup of Nations and deserted an interest by
Namibia over an incompetent player, a African football connection said
Tuesday.
Quoting a statute by a Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport, the
Confederation of African Football pronounced that Namibia’s interest over the
eligibility of Cameroon-born defender Herve Zengue was discharged on Tuesday.
Emmanuel Zombre, an central with Burkina Faso’s football federation, also
told The Associated Press that a nation had defended a place during a African
Cup, that kicks off in reduction than dual weeks.
Confirmation from CAS was approaching after Tuesday, with a sports court

The Namibia Football Association had twice protested to CAF over Zengue’s
